The Chalk Guys

The Chalk Guys

The Chalk Guys are Hector Diaz and Ken Mullen. First introduced to street painting at the Lake Worth festival 19 years ago, Hector was hooked on the medium right from the start. By the next year he involved his lifelong friend Ken and they worked on a recreation of a William Waterhouse painting. Over the years they have done a few pieces together and a few on their own, but it wasn’t until a couple years ago that they decided to team up begin to do much larger scale pieces as well as begin their journey into the world of 3D chalk art. In the past year they have officially dubbed themselves the “Chalk Guys” and have ventured out to many more shows in Florida and out of state. To them it is way more than an art form, but about the interaction with the crowds and the fun of the process that keeps them coming back to the pavement.
